The Confinement Village
Nowadays, people are paying more attention to health and emotional issues. However, there is still a group of people easily ignored when they need a lot of attention – new mothers.
After giving birth, new mothers are fragile and sensitive, hence special attention should be paid to their physical and psychological needs. While existing confinement centres in Asian countries focus on the physical recovery, insufficient attention is paid to the psychological aspect. This project uses a human-centred approach to focus on new mothers to create a supportive and comfortable recovery environment for them.
