Mary Christina Stanislaws

Mary is a teacher, spoken word poet and short story writer based in Singapore. She is graduating with an MA Creative Writing from LASALLE College of the Arts.

Mary's short story was a semi-finalist in the Tulip Tree Review and she participated in SingPoWriMo 2022. Her writing seeks to primarily blend the arts and sciences. To this peculiar blend, she adds dollops of her racial, religious and other fragmented identities that embody her.

As a teacher, she seeks to spread the beauty and possibilities she sees in writing, to tots and teenagers. She credits the spoken word form as having sparked her foray into writing, and pays homage to the form by performing at local events such as Spoke & Bird and Word Forward.
