Gisele Teo (YNIIQ)

Gisele, also known as YNIIQ, is a Singapore-based artist who draws inspiration from popular culture. She favours charcoal, acrylic paint and digital painting as artistic media, and is interested in experimenting with ceramics, alongside paper sculpture works featuring organic cuts and shapes.

Preferring large-scale formats in all her works, Gisele's creations encompass gestural, spontaneous lines juxtaposed with more focused and structured imagery. Her artistic focus is centred on the exploration of chaos and questions of the in-between, as well as delving into the psychosocial aspects of what makes us human.
