Lemuel Lee Jong Yii
A budding talent in the Singaporean jazz, blues and soul scenes, Lemuel has been a saxophonist since he was 13. Previously a member of the Singapore Polytechnic Jazz Band, Lemuel has participated in jazz festivals in Singapore as well as a performance intensive at Berklee College of Music, US where he studied under Lihi Haruvi.
He now leads an organ quartet, Leewei, having debuted at The Jazz Loft at Blu Jaz Café in 2023 and will graduate this year from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) in Music, specialising in jazz performance.
Work
Lemuel was part of the Singapore Polytechnic Jazz Band from 2015 to 2018, where he served as vice president from 2017 to 2018. He performed at the Singapore International Jazz Festival in 2016 and 2017, Lion City Youth Festival in 2021, Jazz Loft @ Blu Jazz café in 2023, Eden Livestream and the Aspire: Five Week Music Performance Intensive at Berklee as part of the All Stars jazz fusion band and as First Alto under the Greg Hopkins Big Band.
