Shyvon Siaw
Shyvon is graduating with a BA (Hons) Music degree from LASALLE College of the Arts, specialising in composition and arranging under the guidance of Belinda Foo.
She started classical piano lessons at the age of five and attained an ABRSM Grade 8 qualification in 2018. In her teenage years, she participated in marching and concert bands, honing her skills as a marching snare drummer and mallet percussionist.
Shyvon is also experienced with sound design, stage lighting setup, live sound mixing, photography and videography. Her solid understanding of mixing and mastering, as well as her multi-instrumental background, ensures a polished, professional and diverse musical experience across her compositions.
Upon graduation, Shyvon hopes to be commissioned to compose for films or games, or be involved in media work such as production and marketing.
Work
During her time at LASALLE, Shyvon was nominated to play percussion for her seniors’ graduation recitals. In 2023, her jazz big band arrangement was selected to perform live at the LASALLE Open House. In that same year, Shyvon showcased her versatility as a composer and performer in a mallet trio ensemble for The Living Composers Series.
