Yeo Yu Quan Ashlyn
A classically trained guitarist, Ashlyn’s affinity for fingerstyle and alternate tunings coupled with her training have led to her unique, ethereal playing style. She is a session guitarist that teaches guitar both as a MOE CCA Instructor and private teacher, capturing the attention of global brands like Taylor Guitars and Thalia Capos online.
Ashlyn is a genuine, well-rounded musician and endeavours to continue expanding her skill sets to work up to her potential as a multidisciplinary artist, thanks to her additional skills in the visual arts and her studies at LASALLE College of the Arts’ BA (Hons) Music programme.
Work
Ashlyn has been the guitarist for many local artists, notably rising singer-songwriter Shazza, playing many events with her such as Music Matters 2023 and opening for California-based indie band, Peach Tree Rascals. She played guitars and arranged live strings for Shazza's chapter one showcase at Esplanade Recital Studio. Her guitar playing can also be heard on Shazza's tracks Lost In Adoration – demo and Build A Home (live).
Ashlyn also runs a YouTube channel featuring her 'dream-like' fingerstyle guitar covers that have garnered over 5 million views and 54,000 subscribers and has worked with global company, ThaliaCapos, to design a custom guitar strap for herself.
