Yocelyn Cornelius Leung
A classical pianist by trade, Yocelyn’s love for music began when she was 12. She spent time studying and exploring various performance techniques, learning how to convey her performances through her expressions and emotions. She will graduate with a Diploma in Music at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2024.
Yocelyn dreams of becoming a classical piano teacher – sharing her love for music and encouraging students to be more adventurous with their craft. She hopes through her lessons to educate students on common misconceptions during her courses and eventually inspiring them to become outstanding musicians in future.
Work
In the 2018 La Pianista Festival in Hong Kong, Yocelyn won numerous awards, most notably the Summa Cum Laude award. She was subsequently invited back to perform at the La Pianista Festival in 2019. During her time at LASALLE, Yocelyn has worked with composers in preparation for a piano session for LASALLE's Piano Voyage IX: Water Fantasy as a duo performer.
