Carla Castle
As a jack-of-all-trades dabbling in arts management, curating and writing, Carla's professional experience spans multiple roles. She has served as the festival producer and curator for multidisciplinary arts festival ARTWALK (2023) and as a curatorial assistant for Re-Connect/Centre/Converge: The Arts Festival at The Substation. Carla also regularly writes for Plural Art Magazine, focusing on media and technology-based art. Before her studies at LASALLE, Carla spent time in Tokyo as a creative producer, working on documentaries and creative advertising campaigns.
Carla's portfolio boasts multiple accolades including four Crowbar Awards, the Ireland Funds Scholarship and the iPREP Grant from IMDA. Her academic pursuits have led her to international platforms, including competing as a finalist in the ASEAN-Korea Youth Metaverse competition in Busan, focusing on Cultural Heritage through innovative XR technologies. Carla has also participated in the Arts Journalism Residency by the Asia-Europe Foundation and was a speaker at Communicating the Arts, an international conference in Singapore.
