MA Arts and Ecology
2025

Pauline Lim is a multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer whose work interrogates the intersections of fashion, ecology, and cultural memory. Her runway practice includes solo presentations at Digital Fashion Week Singapore (2012-2014) alongside collective showcases at Audi Fashion Festival (2011) and multiple seasons at Seoul Fashion Week (2012-2014).

Her hands have traced the seams of cities - Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Dubai, and New York, including having stocked alongside avant-garde labels such as Helmut Lang and Costume National. She reimagines garment creation as a site for environmental dialogue.

Awarded the Singapore Fashion Council Scholarship (2024), she explores low-waste techniques and experimental draping, allowing her practice to physically interrogate how cultural memory influences our culture of consumption and waste. Pauline transforms discarded materials into hybrid forms that challenge fashion’s linear lifecycle. Her work reframes preservation as an act of ecological and cultural innovation—inviting audiences to reconsider the relationship between consumption, time, and the environment.
