Firdaus Aris
Firdaus is a multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer based in Singapore, working across soft sculpture and installation. His practice explores the body in relation to architectural and emotional space, questioning how support structures, both physical and psychological, shape urban life.
Firdaus assembles meaning through folds, layers, shadows and voids, foregrounding the body as both subject and structure. His practice is rooted in material inquiry and spatial sensitivity, often navigating the tensions between binaries such as softness and rigidity, exposure and concealment.
Through his experimental label, Studio Vetyver, Firdaus’ work has been exhibited locally and regionally, including at the National Museum of Singapore, Asian Civilisations Museum, and at #SGFASHIONNOW in Busan, South Korea.
