Tian Jiayu

Jiayu is an accomplished young sheng performer dedicated to the modern expression of Chinese music and the crossover integration of world music. He is a firm believer of connecting the world through music and actively promotes the international dissemination and exchange of Chinese culture using the sheng, an ancient instrument, as his medium.

Jiayu's artistic prowess has gained wide recognition within the industry, and he was awarded the 'Ensemble Section 1st Prize' at the Singapore Chinese Music Competition in 2022. While deeply rooted in the rich soil of traditional music, he continuously explores the boundless possibilities of the sheng within the context of contemporary music, with his performances reflecting both profound cultural heritage and a forward-looking international perspective.

Currently, Jiayu is fully engaged in international music exchange projects. He aims to use the universal language of music to build bridges of cultural understanding and foster deeper dialogue and connection among people from all over the world.
