Baliyon Lee Wan Rong
Baliyon is a design futurist known for his human-centred, systemic and future-forward approach to design.
With over a decade of experience, he is recognised for reimagining experiences through critical design thinking and innovative strategies. He graduated with first class honours in interior design from the Glasgow School of Art in 2015 and was accredited as an Interior Design Practitioner Class 1 (ID1) in 2022.
Baliyon's award-winning work has earned him accolades including the Singapore Design Awards, multiple Singapore Interior Design Awards, London Design Awards and MUSE Design Awards. He was recently named one of Singapore’s '30 Influential Interior Designers' by the Society of Interior Designers Singapore.
Work
Disrupting cynicism through design
This research explores how a design-led O2O (online-to-offline) systemic framework can address youth cynicism and mental health disengagement in Singapore. Integrating creative health theory, human-centred design and cosmic psychology, it delivers accessible, trauma-informed interventions that promote individual mindset shifts, challenge societal perceptions and cultivate long-term community resilience.
