Ng Shi Hui Saradevi
Saradevi is an illustrator and designer with a background in communication design, having worked on branding and packaging projects in design agencies.
Her research at LASALLE focuses on the cross-disciplinary nature of design to support mental health among young adults. Through her practice, she investigates how design can encourage reflection, empathy, and care beyond traditional therapeutic settings, fostering community-based approaches to mental well-being.
Work
Designing for mental well-being: Leveraging Singaporean culture for transformative care systems among young adults
Mindful Kakis is a community care system and programme comprising tools, workshops and a facilitator guide. It explores the intersection between self and mutual care to foster well-being within communities. Developed in consultation with an art therapist, the project ensures emotional safety and credibility in addressing mental health.
