TARU: Adaptive furniture for flood preparedness
TARU is a disaster-responsive stool that transforms into a modular raft during floods. Designed with recycled plastic, canvas and traditional materials, it serves as everyday furniture while doubling as an emergency survival tool.
The project aims to reduce debris, safeguard lives and belongings, and empower vulnerable communities with an affordable, adaptable and sustainable solution for disaster preparedness.
