Kenneth Kwok

MA Creative Writing
2017 — 2020

Between 1999 and 2015, Kenneth Kwok wrote over a hundred performing arts reviews for the online arts journal, The Flying Inkpot Theatre and Dance, as well as served as its co-editor. Over the years, he has also been invited to write essays about the arts and conduct writing workshops for The Esplanade, The Substation, etc. In addition, Kenneth has been selected for playwriting mentorship programmes with ACTION Theatre and The Necessary Stage, and five of his short plays have been staged or read in Singapore. A former school teacher and vice-principal, he currently works at the National Arts Council.

Work

Kenneth’s novel-in-progress follows the lives of three Singaporeans from their teenage years in the 1980s to the present day, and into the future, moving between different perspectives.
