Sri Purani Odiayar

Sri Purani Odiayar began writing long fiction in 2015 as a hobby, when she was an Economics undergraduate in the National University of Singapore. Four years on, her unwavering enthusiasm for the craft led her to pursue a postgraduate degree in Creative Writing at LASALLE. A Singaporean of South Asian heritage, Sri Purani writes fictional works in a variety of genres that aim to represent her culture and examine diverse interpersonal relationships.

Work

Sri's campus novel, Final Year Project, follows Om, an unofficial member of his college's boys-only boxing club, as he begins his senior year with the other members. After the college administration requires their club to become mix-gendered, an allegation of sexual assault sets the team against each other.
