Siti Zahrah Syafiah Binte Jailani (Zara Sophia)

Zara Sophia was an honoured recipient of LASALLE's Creative Spark Scholarship and MENDAKI's Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award during her time in LASALLE. Prior to that, she was a freelance performer who worked in children's theatre with ACT 3, as well as community theatre. Her portrayal of Mak in Yellow Chair Productions’ Off Centre (dir. Mohamad Shaifulbahri) was mentioned in The Flying Inkpot as being "The real star... whose pin-point portrayal of an emotionally-besieged mother brought tears to [the reviewer's] eyes... an absolute joy to watch." Since 2008, she has established herself as an arts educator and is certified by NAC-NIE in The Essentials of Teaching and Learning. She also went on to study pedagogical approaches in teaching drama skills and literacy to students with special needs at Dyslexia Association Singapore (DAS).
