Periyachi Roshini

Roshini graduated from the Diploma in Performance programme at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2021, during which she represented the College at the Asia Pacific Bureau in Hanoi in 2019. Notable roles include: Kattrin in Ma Courage (dir. Samantha Scott-Blackhall), Mama in Mama Looking for Her Cat (dir. Felipe Cervera and Seong Hui Xuan) and Lucienne in An Absolute Turkey (dir. Robin Sneller). Roshini made her professional debut in Litany of Broken Prayer and Promise written by Natalie Hennedige and directed by Indumathi Tamilselvan as part of Centre 42's Tunjuk Arah / Iyakkunar programme, and is currently working on Audition written by Amitha Pagolu and directed by Indumathi Tamilselvan, presented by A Mirage.

Outside of acting, Roshini is also a semi-professional bharathanatyam dancer and is a company dancer for Apsaras Arts. Recently, she has been awarded the title of Natya Visharad by the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society. Some of Roshini's significant dance works include Alapadma at the prestigious Music Academy, Anjasa at the Natya Kala Conference, Singapore Festival in Hanoi organised by the Singapore Embassy and Singapore Tourism Board, Kaala Utsavam 2019 - Kathakali by Kalakshetra Repertory (India). Roshini is interested in movement in theatre and plans to pursue dance and theatre professionally.
