Kim Chong

Kim is a performer, actor, playwright and aspiring director graduating with a Diploma in Performance from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2023. Even though LASALLE was his first experience with theatre and acting, he has developed an unshakeable love for the craft and various methodologies of acting. He enjoys finding a compromise between contrasting methods to make them his own.

Over the years, Kim has taken Strasberg classes and was selected for a slot in the summer conservatory at The Stella Adler studio in New York. In acting, he particularly enjoys playing roles of morally-questionable characters, as to him the best part of acting is giving humanity to the most messed up of characters

Kim has also co-written and performed a full-length play with his friends called We Got Make Theatre, a play that explores the way insecurities shape how we make theatre. Inspired by his stay in New York, Kim's ultimate goal as a theatre practitioner is to transform the theatre culture in Singapore's secondary school system to make it more readily available to everyone.
