Menaka Puri

Menaka's move from Mumbai to Singapore in 2021 marked a pivotal moment in her pursuit of a career in the arts. Prior to joining the BA (Hons) Acting programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, she gained valuable experience as an assistant director in the Hindi film industry. This early exposure to filmmaking provided Menaka with a comprehensive understanding of storytelling and the collaborative nature of the creative process.

Her most recent work includes playing the role of Hermione in Shakespeare's A Winter's Tale and Roxane in Martin Crimp's adaptation of Cyrano De Bergerac. Beyond her passion for acting, Menaka's love for dance, literature and writing also plays a significant role in shaping her artistic identity.

Menaka is committed to using the transformative potential of storytelling as well as her rigorous training at LASALLE to educate and empower individuals, particularly marginalised voices. She continues to chart a path that not only celebrates her love for acting but also embraces her commitment to social change and inclusivity.
