About
Nish is a professional performer based in Singapore, graduating with a BA (Hons) Acting degree from LASALLE College of the Arts.
His first steps into theatre were his drama co-curricular activity in secondary school, and shortly thereafter, community theatre with Beyond Social Services. This helped him cultivate a strong focus on supporting marginalised and vulnerable communities through interactive performances such as forum theatre.
Nish also has a special interest in queer performance and actively explores masculinity and femininity in his work. Being a drag queen himself, his thesis explores drag as actor pedagogy and how actors can use elements of drag, such as costumes and makeup, as tools to ease into feminine roles.
