Chantel Chan Xin Kai

Chantel Chan is a classically trained pianist and emerging music artist whose work bridges classical performance with digital production and cross-disciplinary projects.

She began studying piano at the age of five and will be graduating from the BA (Hons) Music programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, specialising in classical music performance. During her degree, she explored digital music production, improvisation and collaborative practice, including Piano Voyage 2025, and developed original work such as The Cosmos Within You mini-album alongside her engagement with the classical repertoire.

Her music is mostly inspired by Beethoven’s structural clarity, Debussy’s harmonic colour, Joe Hisaishi’s melodic storytelling, and Hans Zimmer’s cinematic soundscapes. Through her works, she explores artistic freedom, emotional growth and self-expression, crafting musical worlds that connect sound with animation and narrative.

Chantel has performed in Piano Voyage XI: Game Night (2025), collaborating with JDN Party Quest as a pianist for Genshin Impact, a percussionist for Octopath Traveller, and a vocalist for Final Fantasy XIII: Serah’s Theme. Her mini-album, The Cosmos Within You (2025, as Music4lifebycc), comprises three original works marking her first steps in developing a distinctive musical identity. In 2024, she collaborated with a Japanese exchange student on the short animated film Free, exploring storytelling through music and animation.
