About
Kishore is a bilingual Singapore-based actor working in English and Tamil. He is enthusiastic about Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) and has presented his research on Tamil TYA at the SDEA International Theatre Arts Conference 2025. He is currently a junior associate artist with TYA Company Zip Zap Zoom Collective, and will be writing and co-directing Raja and the Lost Journal for the upcoming Children Season 2026 under the mentorship of Adib Kosnan.
Experienced at both performing onstage and supporting productions behind the stage, he continues to engage in projects that explore language, culture and storytelling. Kishore’s work reflects a commitment to collaborative theatre-making and the creation of playful and meaningful experiences for diverse audiences. He has participated in a range of theatrical styles, including contemporary, classical and devised work.
Selected credits include ‘Aarav’ in Brainstorm (Gateway Arts); ‘Ajay’ in Solo/Oray Aal (SITFE); 'Ensemble' in Shakespeare in the Park: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Por Por’s Big Fat Surprise Wedding (Singapore Repertory Theatre).
Inspired by Yes Theory, Kishore's motto in life is to "seek discomfort", because the best things in life are outside our comfort zones.
