The Arena

Image

Side elevation

This project explores how architecture can translate psychological pressure into spatial experience through the perspective of Michael, a gamer shaped by expectations and performance.

The Arena acts as a physical expression of his intense emotions that guide users through moments of anticipation, tension and release. Using music as a methodology for form-finding, abstractions derived from Arnold Schönberg’s Five Pieces for Orchestra shape the spatial structure and atmosphere of The Arena.
