Sabarish, using his stage name Rish, is a versatile singer-songwriter and performer, focusing on pop, soul, R&B, funk and indie music.
Born and raised in Singapore, he started singing at the age of seven and has since grown in experience across various musical areas, including choir, orchestra and a cappella performance. After graduating with a polytechnic diploma at the age of 19, Rish decided that music—particularly singing, performing and songwriting—was his passion and went on to study in the BA (Hons) Music programme at LASALLE College of the Arts.
Alongside solo singing, Rish is also the lead vocalist of 17FIFTY—a five-piece pop, funk and R&B band formed in mid-2021. After his band's very first four-song extended play and his first two debut singles that went out in December 2025, Rish is focused on keeping the momentum going with more music. He gigs as often as he can and continues to write new music when he feels inspired.
Music is what Rish yearns to do for the many years to come. His wish is for everyone to see and feel who he is as a person through his music and his performances. He strives to bring power, soul and emotion with his voice and to inspire people as many others, including his peers, have inspired him.
