Rong Jiaxin (KASSIN)

Jia Xin is an international student from China who is graduating with a Diploma in Performance from LASALLE College of the Arts.

She has professional training in acting for camera and theatre and has a great passion for both mediums. Jia Xin hopes to eventually gain the necessary knowledge and experience that will lead to film directing or playwriting in the future.

Jia Xin is also trained in traditional martial arts, as well as dance forms such as ballet and traditional Malay dance. Her strong interest and profound love for traditional Chinese dance and traditional Chinese Opera have served as influences in her performance, and she is interested in how Chinese performance traditions can be integrated with Southeast Asian culture in her own work.

Outside of school, she has participated in the filming of micro dramas such as The Summer when I Met You by Chance. This experience has deepened her understanding of the true essence and significance of being an actor. She hopes to enhance her performance and make further contributions to the TV and film industry through deeper understanding and familiarity with the production process,
