His approach often leans towards a more minimal and controlled style, with emphasis on spacing, hierarchy and overall structure.

Rather than being overly expressive, Irfan focuses on building outcomes that feel resolved and purposeful. Throughout his studies, he has developed a disciplined approach to design, refining ideas through iteration, reflection and the removal of unnecessary elements. This process has helped him to communicate more clearly and produce outcomes that are more focused and effective.

Irfan is drawn to branding projects, where he explores how visual systems are applied across different touch points. This has shaped his understanding of consistency and clarity in design, ensuring that outcomes remain cohesive across different formats.

BATIN — A Fragrance of Quiet Masculinity and Inner Presence by Irfan Bin Mohammad

A short teaser that captures a sense of presence through subtle movement and form.

BATIN — A Presence Felt explores the unseen inner state that shapes how a person thinks, moves and carries themselves. Inspired by Malay philosophy and the cultural heritage of the Nusantara, the project expresses values such as discipline, patience and stillness through fragrance.

BATIN reimagines qualities embodied by pendekar within a contemporary context, focusing on quiet masculinity. Each scent combines regional ingredients such as bergamot, kaffir lime, lemon, pandan, woods and kasturi gaharu, layered with softer notes of rose geranium and honey to create emotional depth and resonance.
