About

James Tiah is a fresh graduate of the Diploma in Design for Communication and Experiences programme at LASALLE College of the Arts.

James works across various forms of design and media, with a focus on illustration, graphic design and music. He started out in game art design at the Institute of Technical Education, and continues to explore different ways of bringing his ideas to life. From motion graphics to music production, he uses a range of mediums to build narratives and tell stories.

2100.

2100. is a participatory project inviting the public to imagine the future of Singapore in the year 2100.

Through collected thoughts, drawings and shared ideas, it explores how technology, environment and identity may shape the nation over time. Presented as a one-day public event and archival publication, participants contribute through postcards, later compiled into a collective record of imagined futures.

Rather than predicting a single outcome, 2100. highlights diverse perspectives and possibilities, transforming public imagination into a visual archive of how people today envision Singapore’s tomorrow.

Internship vlog

For his internship, James helped with the creation of a game by Daydream925 Studios called MEGAVOLT: Tower of Power.

It is the first game in the MEGAVOLT series, centred around the concept of climbing the corporate ladder and fighting evil bosses and managers alongside characters trapped in the rat race.

Set as an RPG game, there are three main characters players can choose from, each with different roles and endings. James worked on the logo, prototyping, sound and visuals alongside his intern partner to create a prototype on Figma, which was later used for play-testing at the Mad Market event held at the end of the year.
