Musafir

Musafir is a fashion publication project centred on the idea of being in a constant state of transience, using styling to examine how identity shifts across different cultural environments.

The project draws from experiences of movement and relocation, focusing on how individuals carry, adapt and present aspects of their cultural identity in new contexts.

Through image-making and visual direction, Musafir looks at the tension between belonging and displacement, showing how identity is shaped by environment and experience. It focuses on how cultural references are kept, changed or reinterpreted as people move between places.

This project considers how presence can be communicated without direct representation, focusing on absence as a way to suggest identity and human experience.
