Song Zitong (Svea)

About

Zitong is an artist currently based in Singapore whose practice moves across photography, video, painting and design. Her process is intuitive, often guided by curiosity and a sensitivity to her surroundings.

Zitong is interested in visual storytelling and quiet observations of everyday life and approaches image-making as a way of noticing, collecting and reassembling fragments of lived experience, allowing small, often overlooked moments to take form. Working across media, she explores how different materials and formats shape the way a narrative is felt and understood.

Alongside her artistic practice, Zitong continues to engage with diverse fields and experiences. These encounters, whether in art or beyond, become part of an evolving personal archive that she believes will gradually reveal its meaning.

A Quiet Pulse

A Quiet Pulse

This work unfolds as a quiet process of self-discovery.

Through photography, video and sound, the project reflects on personal emotions not as direct statements, but as subtle presences. Rather than presenting each medium separately, they are brought together within an installation that forms a continuous, immersive space.

Set within a familiar environment, the work invites attention to how emotions surface quietly, often unnoticed, through atmosphere, memory and small sensory details. It is less about narrating a fixed story and more about allowing feeling to emerge gradually through the encounter.
