About
Xizhe is an artist whose work mainly takes the form of three-dimensional pieces that engage with everyday objects, perception and contemporary life. Often using the teapot as a recurring form, he explores the relationship between object, form and lived experience.
Through subtle transformations of familiar things, Xizhe draws attention to overlooked aspects of daily life and invites viewers to reflect on how meaning is shaped by perception and context. For him, art is not simply a visual presentation, but a complex experience that encourages pause, reflection and a deeper engagement with everyday reality.

This project began with a simple question: how can change occur within a life shaped by repetition and growing numbness?
The artist constructed a miniature enclosed artificial space, where mirrors extend the environment into a seemingly endless loop. Although the space appears stable and quiet, it also carries a sense of pressure and stagnation.
Within this setting, the object becomes a subtle sign of disturbance within an otherwise fixed system. It suggests the possibility of resistance or transformation, yet remains unable to fully break away from the endlessly reproduced environment.
Rather than offering an answer, the work invites viewers to reflect: when life continually returns to the same point, what does change really mean and is it ever truly possible?
