About

Adelyn is a graphic designer and image-maker from Jakarta, currently based in Singapore, where she is pursuing a Diploma in Design for Communication and Experiences at LASALLE College of the Arts.

Her practice considers how visual communication shapes perception, emotion and narrative across both analogue and digital forms. Her work centres on self-discovery and the search for meaning, focusing on how personal experiences and circumstances inform identity. She often works with memory as both subject and material, treating it as something fluid, subjective and constantly shifting.

Through photography and print-based processes, she engages with memory, relationships and metaphysical tensions between reality and existence. Drawing from lived experiences, her work translates fleeting moments into visual narratives that question perception, presence and the ways we construct meaning.

Her approach is process-driven, often incorporating light-sensitive techniques and tactile materials that allow outcomes to emerge through experimentation. By working with both control and unpredictability, she explores how intangible experiences can be made tangible. Her work creates space for reflection, inviting viewers to consider their own understanding of memory, presence and meaning, while remaining open-ended rather than fixed in interpretation.

Fragments of Earth

Part of THE LASALLE SHOW 2026

A Photographic Memoir of Grief, Memory and Landscape.

Fragments of Earth is a photographic memoir shaped by grief, absence and the shifting nature of memory. Dedicated to the artist’s late grandmother, the project turns to landscape as a site of preservation and reflection, where the earth holds what cannot be spoken and nature becomes a quiet witness to loss.

Through spaces marked by erosion, stillness and subtle transformation, the work explores how memory changes over time, mirroring ecological change and human mourning. It suggests that what disappears is never entirely gone.

Passerby

Passerby unfolds from a quiet realisation that everything in life is constantly changing and shifting, that what is here now will slip away in a minute’s time, leaving only a trace of its passing.

Inspired by the fleeting beauty of Komorebi, where light drifts through leaves and never rests in one place, this book follows these small, vanishing moments as they move through the body and the landscape.

Using cyanotype and darkroom processes, light becomes something that cannot be held, only briefly witnessed as it brushes against surfaces and disappears. Forms blur, shadows soften and images emerge like memories fading. What remains are not fixed records, but gentle imprints of time passing, a quiet acknowledgement that we too, are only ever a passerby.

Top 3 winner of the Postcard x LASALLE Showcase

This campaign is not merely a showcase of product, but a sensorial voyage; an invitation to be enveloped by the essence of an island where nature and tradition entwine.

Each detail is a tribute: to the artistry of Javanese craftsmanship, to the wisdom of heritage passed gently from hand to hand and to the enduring bond between culture and the natural world.

Through carefully chosen botanicals with fragrant spices, wildflowers and elemental textures, the spirit of Java is distilled into something one can feel, breathe and hold. Every note, every layer whispers a piece of the island’s story: timeless, grounding, alive.
