Akshita Goyal

About

Akshita is a multidisciplinary designer based in Singapore who work across visual design, interactive experiences and photography.

She is drawn to projects that lead with storytelling and emotion. Her process is shaped by influences outside of design, such as travel, music and the small, fleeting moments that shift how one sees the world. She brings these experiences into her work, whether designing for screen, space or print.

Akshita believes that the best design does not just communicate — it resonates. It asks people to slow down, look closer and feel something unexpected. She is continually working toward work that is intentional, human and memorable.

When she is not designing, Akshita is likely discovering a new city, curating playlists no one asked for or finding inspiration in places she was not looking.

Vibration as Design Material

What if the objects around us could communicate with us? Not through words, but through something older and simpler: the felt language of vibration.

Three interactive objects treat vibration as a single design material and dissolve the boundary between sound and touch. A pair of clay bowls, a deceptive guessing game and a breathing creature each give vibration a distinct voice—resonance, deception and presence—making the felt and the heard one continuous experience.

Singapore Art Archive

Singapore Art Archive is an interactive mobile app that transforms Singapore’s vibrant street art scene into a gamified exploration.

By blending augmented reality (AR) technology, real-world discovery and digital storytelling, the app turns murals into clues, inviting users on a treasure hunt through the city. Users receive small visual hints from murals and navigate using an in-app map to uncover their locations. Once found, murals are added to a digital passport, unlocking exclusive AR experiences that bring the art to life.

Designed to spark curiosity, engagement and a deeper connection with public art, Singapore Art Archive is more than just an app—it is an immersive experience that makes exploring street art playful, rewarding and memorable for both locals and visitors.
