Geralyn is a designer interested in broadening her design skills by refining and reflecting on past and present projects to identify areas of improvement in future projects.
Outside of design, she enjoys taking pictures of moments that inspire her on her digital camera and watching films starring Robert Pattinson. She hopes to continually evolve as a graphic designer, seizing every opportunity she can get to further develop her practice.
The Green Ritual
This project critiques contemporary matcha culture through satire, exploring how aesthetics and performative knowledge shape consumption.
Using artefacts like a matcha grader, personality quiz and guidebook, it exposes superficial authenticity while reflecting on identity, taste and belonging in commodified food culture.
This page critiques the modern consumer’s reliance on surface-level cues like basing judgement on quality solely on colour while showing how design systems simplify, standardise and shape how value and authenticity are viewed.
