Hongying is a graduating student of the BA (Hons) Fashion Media and Industries programme at LASALLE College of the Arts.
With a background in design, she works across graphic design, photography and visual storytelling, focusing on projects that explore identity, culture and contemporary social narratives.
Her experience includes working as a graphic design assistant at Markist Design Agency, where she developed branding, promotional materials and multimedia content. She also worked as a sales assistant at a Singapore-based luxury jewellery brand, where she gained an understanding of luxury retail and customer engagement.
Her practice combines creative direction with technical skills in Adobe software and video production. She is particularly interested in fashion media, editorial storytelling and cross-cultural communication. Through her work, she aims to create meaningful and visually engaging narratives that connect concept with execution.
THE CODE is a fashion-led publication that reframes mahjong as a shared cultural space, bringing together people from different backgrounds while exploring connection and coexistence through visual storytelling.
