BLOCK 26

BLOCK 26 explores high summer through the lens of everyday Singaporean spaces, drawing from the familiarity of void decks and kopitiam culture. The project reinterprets these environments as quiet, sculptural backdrops for contemporary femininity, where structure and softness coexist.

Set within a studio context, printed void deck montages and everyday objects are transformed into minimal yet expressive elements, allowing form, light and texture to take focus. Directional lighting and sun-warmed tones evoke a sense of heat and stillness, while fluid silhouettes contrast against the rigidity of the built environment.

Through both still and moving visuals, the work captures subtle moments of presence—where light rests on the body, and the ordinary becomes elevated. BLOCK 26 reflects an ongoing interest in translating local familiarity into an editorial language, creating a visual narrative that is at once grounded, intimate, and quietly expressive.
