Leon is graduating with an MA in Creative Writing from LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore.
Though he struggled his way through the local primary and secondary education system, he graduated from LASALLE with a Diploma in Broadcast Media in 2019, followed by a BA (Hons) in Film, awarded by Goldsmith's, University of London.
Leon loves digital media and storytelling—he devoured The Lord of The Rings, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Pulp Fiction, Shrek, The Fall, Tropic Thunder and The Naked Gun, throughout his childhood and adolescence.

This thesis comprises a work of creative nonfiction and an exegesis that examines the lived experience of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) through an autobiographical memoir.
The autobiographical memoir reconstructs the writer’s childhood, adolescence and early adulthood prior to his diagnosis, exploring how symptoms were misunderstood, internalised and transformed into self-shame, failure and humour.
Through a comedic voice, the writer attempts to present ADHD not as a retrospective explanation, but to immerse the readers within the uncertain, confusing and emotional logics of their undiagnosed life.
The work also illustrates how memory, perception and identity are shaped by experiences that were not fully understood at the time they had occurred.
Professional practice
Leon's writing practice focuses on creative nonfiction and autobiography. He is currently working on a memoir exploring memory, humour, shame and lived experience.
His research focuses on how voice, memory, structure and perspective can transform personal experiences into literary narrative. He is interested in retrospective narration and the use of comedic and conversational voices to approach serious emotional material.
