About
Maye is a 23-year-old graphic designer with four years of experience in social media content creation, photography and crafts.
Her passion for art began at an early age, where she was involved in theatre, tap dancing and drawing. As she grew older, she discovered a passion for photography and graphic design, and now, as a student, she explores printing, zine-making and collages.
She is committed to growing and improving herself as a designer and as a person.
Brasil With S, the theme of Maye's final year project, explores Brazil's vernacular culture, showcasing the nation's authentic, vivid reality.
The project includes a series of prints, with three primary publications at its core. Each publication examines a different aspect of Brazil culture—typography, communication and motifs—offering a layered, visual account of Brazilian identity.
Maye was invited by a friend to photograph local singers and bands performing at Orchard.
After her internship at Through The Roof, Maye became interested in printing and in creating her own products. And just like that, Foreigner Libélula was born!
