Sense of Involvement

Singapore’s ageing demographic calls for environments that better support senior engagement. Observations indicate that many older residents remain at the periphery of shared spaces with minimal interaction, while existing amenities are often misused or left idle.

This proposal introduces a performing arts hub paired with workshop zones to activate these underused areas. It encourages participation through both performance and behind-the-scenes roles, offering accessible ways for seniors to stay physically and socially involved.

By combining creative expression with light activity, the project aims to enrich daily experiences, strengthen community ties and support more active, inclusive ageing.

Another project from Year 2 Semester 1 where I redesigned a Barcelona-inspired space into a warm and contemporary dining environment that aligns with my moodboard. The design focuses on creating a calm and inviting atmosphere through natural materials, soft lighting, and open communal spaces that encourage interaction and relaxation. The project explores spatial layering, texture, and lighting to balance both intimate dining experiences and social gathering areas.
