Between Generations: A Space to Explore

Image

Baking studio

Between Generations: A Place to Explore is an intergenerational community hub designed for elderly residents and children, fostering connection through shared learning and hands-on activities.

It integrates intergenerational shared reading sessions, quiet rest zones for seniors and playful activity corners for children, alongside collaborative reading spaces, a communal planting area and art and baking workshops, encouraging knowledge exchange and playful interaction across ages.

Breaking conventional spatial boundaries, the design promotes continuous exploration through layered circulation, visual connections and varying material experiences.

Each activity becomes an opportunity for discovery, allowing both generations to learn from one another in a meaningful, warm, inclusive and engaging environment that nurtures trust and mutual understanding.
