About
Kamilia is a student of the Diploma in Design for Communication and Experiences programme at LASALLE College of the Arts. Her practice is driven by a curiosity on how design shapes the way people perceive, feel and interact with everyday information and spaces.
She is particularly interested in branding, editorial design, photography and visual storytelling, where ideas are translated into meaningful and engaging experiences that connect with audiences personally.
Her creative process often begins with observation, focusing on people, environments and everyday details, using these moments as starting points for concepts that feel relatable and authentic. She enjoys experimenting with visual approaches and refining ideas through layering, composition and thoughtful decision-making to create intentional outcomes.
Kamilia is also drawn to creating calm and visually balanced work that feels approachable and human. She believes design has the ability to communicate emotions, create connections and shape how people experience stories and information in daily life.
Throughout her studies, she has worked on projects involving identity systems, campaigns, social media content, digital platforms and print design. These experiences have strengthened both her conceptual thinking and visual execution while allowing her to adapt to different briefs and creative challenges.
She values clarity and intention within her work and often revisits designs to improve how ideas are communicated visually and emotionally. Outside of design, Kamilia enjoys photography and exploring different spaces, which continue to inspire her creative direction and growth.
The Missing Factor: Piecing Together Awareness of Haemophilia
The Missing Factor is an awareness campaign focused on haemophilia, a genetic condition caused by missing clotting factors in the blood.
The project interprets the concept of 'missing' through puzzle pieces, symbolising both the condition and gaps in public awareness. Through a booklet and an intimate activation setup, audiences are guided through essential information, from understanding symptoms to knowing how to respond.
By presenting complex medical content in a clear and approachable way, The Missing Factor encourages reflection, empathy and a stronger understanding of haemophilia within the wider community.
Journey Through Avenue Three
Journey Through Avenue Three is a visual journalism project that explores the spaces that Kamilia has called home for the past 15 years.
Rooted in personal memory and observation, the project documents familiar environments from quiet walkways and neighbourhood corners to everyday communal spaces that have shaped her upbringing.
Through photography, she revisits these locations not just as physical places, but as emotional landscapes that carry traces of who she was and who she is becoming.
The work moves between past and present, capturing subtle shifts in atmosphere, structure and meaning. Places that once felt expansive and full of possibility are now seen through a more reflective lens, revealing how time, routine and growth alter her perception of space.
By retracing her daily routes and pausing in moments that once went unnoticed, Kamilia explores the tension between nostalgia and change—what has remained, what has been lost and what continues to evolve.
This project also considers the relationship between memory and place, highlighting how ordinary environments can hold deep personal significance. Through a quiet and observational visual language, Journey Through Avenue Three invites viewers to reflect on their own lived spaces and the layered stories embedded within them. Ultimately, it is a meditation on growing up, returning and seeing the familiar with new eyes.
Layers Of Us (Love Bonito)
The Layers of Us campaign video explores layering as a visual language of identity, where clothing becomes a quiet expression of comfort, culture and individuality. It reflects how style shifts and adapts through everyday life, turning simple dressing into a personal narrative shaped by movement, feeling and intention.
Layers of Us is a campaign that explores the act of layering as more than just a styling choice, but as a personal expression shaped by comfort, identity, culture and intention.
It looks at how women choose to dress in ways that feel authentic to them, whether for modesty, confidence, practicality or self-expression. Rather than defining one fixed idea of style, the campaign celebrates the versatility of layered dressing and how it allows individuals to adapt, transform and move through different spaces of their lives.
Through thoughtfully designed pieces, Layers of Us highlights the quiet strength found in everyday dressing, where each layer becomes part of a larger narrative. It reflects how clothing can hold meaning beyond appearance, acting as a language of individuality and empowerment. The campaign ultimately invites viewers to see layering as a way of storytelling fluid, personal and always evolving with the person who wears it.
A campaign book that documents the concept of Layers of Us and the visual journey behind the project, exploring layering as a form of identity, self-expression and personal storytelling. Through photography, styling and editorial layouts, the book highlights how different individuals interpret layering in ways shaped by their lifestyle, perspective and everyday experiences.
