About
Nazreen is a final-year student at LASALLE College of the Arts with a strong interest in visual storytelling, branding and culturally inspired design.
She enjoys exploring how traditional ideas can be reinterpreted in modern and relevant ways, often drawing inspiration from everyday experiences and the visuals she grew up with.
She works with bold colours, typography and layout to create designs that are both expressive and clear, with a particular interest in transforming familiar concepts into something fresh and engaging.
As she continues developing her practice, she aims to create work that is thoughtful, adaptable and reflective of her perspective as a designer.
SIPPU is a contemporary reimagining of South Indian drinks, transforming familiar classics into a vibrant, design-led experience.
Inspired by traditional flavours such as South Indian filter coffee, the project brings cultural heritage into the present through expressive visuals, rich colours, bold typography and pattern-driven design. Across packaging, campaigns and digital spaces, each drink is given a distinct personality while remaining rooted in tradition.
SIPPU celebrates familiarity and nostalgia while reimagining cultural beverages through a clean, playful, and contemporary identity.
Wallet of Utility is a project that explores the emotional connection between the author and everyday objects through the idea of nostalgia and dependence.
Inspired by childhood memories and personal attachment, the project reflects on how objects once brought comfort, security and companionship during different stages of life through letters written to the objects as a homage to their journey with the author.
By focusing on the wallet as a symbolic object of utility, the project questions how value is not only defined by function, but also by the memories and emotions attached to it over time. Through storytelling and design, Wallet of Utility pays homage to objects that quietly shaped personal experiences, even after they are no longer needed.
