Nurain Haziqah is a student of the Diploma in Design for Communication and Experiences programme at LASALLE College of the Arts. She has a strong passion for designing and enjoys bringing ideas to life through visuals that are engaging and meaningful.
Her interests include branding, visual storytelling, editorial design and creating experiences that connect with people. She enjoys researching, experimenting and developing concepts from the ground up, drawing inspiration from everyday life, culture and personal experiences, to shape relatable and authentic creative outcomes. She believes good design should not only be visually appealing but also communicate clearly and leave an impact.
Throughout her studies, Nurain has worked on projects spanning branding, campaigns, digital platforms and print design, building her confidence in adapting to different briefs while strengthening both her creative thinking and technical skills. She values attention to detail and enjoys refining ideas until they are both functional and visually strong.
Outside of design, Nurain enjoys photography and exploring different places, as she finds inspiration in observing people, spaces and stories around her. This curiosity continues to influence the way she approaches her work and creative process each day.
As an emerging designer, Nurain hopes to continue learning, growing and challenging herself through new opportunities. She aims to create work that is meaningful, relevant and able to connect with audiences in a genuine way while continuing to develop her own voice as a designer confidently today.

Ada Sebabnya (There is a Reason) is a curated exploration into the practical wisdom hidden within traditional Malay pantang larang.
Grounded in archival research from Walter William Skeat’s Malay Magic (1900), this project bridges the gap between ancient folklore and modern safety.
By deconstructing warnings—like the prohibition of singing in kitchens or sitting on pillows—the exhibition reveals they were never merely superstitions, but essential lessons in etiquette, hygiene and domestic safety.
Today, these oral traditions continue to shape our behaviours. Ada Sebabnya reclaims this heritage, proving that every 'don’t' was designed to protect the 'why'.
Heart Of Gentle Road
This project is a visual documentation and tribute to the Abdul Hamid Mosque, exploring its role as a vital pillar of the Gentle Road community.
By highlighting the mosque’s history and its transformation over the years, the work aims to showcase how faith and community memories come alive within its walls.
Central to this project is the legacy of Tok Hamzah, whose spirit of dedication and kindness continues to inspire and shape our shared history.
Through this overview, we honour the mosque not just as a physical structure, but as a living landmark where every step taken reflects a deep-rooted heritage of compassion and unity.

Layer Of Us - Love Bonito
Layers of Us is a cross-disciplinary studio project and collaboration with local brand Love, Bonito, bringing together the unique perspectives of fashion design, design communication and interior design students.
This partnership explores the intersection of modesty, identity and self-expression, celebrating the many reasons women choose to cover, drape or style their outfits in their own way.
By merging fashion’s focus on garment movement, design communication’s visual storytelling, and interior design’s spatial conceptualisation, the project creates a holistic narrative titled 'Modest in Motion'.
From comfort to empowerment, every element is designed to move with the wearer effortlessly, ensuring that style remains authentic and always on her own terms.
