Sim Jing Sheng Cayden

Known for his driven, expressive and adaptable personality, Cayden is a drummer from the Diploma in Music programme at LASALLE College of the Arts. With a natural curiosity and strong sense of musicality, he approaches every performance and learning experience with both discipline and creativity, constantly pushing himself to grow as a musician.

Cayden began drumming at the age of three, developing an early passion that has shaped his journey ever since. While funk remains his primary genre, Cayden has expanded his musical horizons, branching into jazz and Latin music over time. Recently, he has taken on Latin gigs to apply his skills in real-world settings and deepen his understanding of complex rhythms and cultural styles.

Beyond performance, Cayden is committed to continuous improvement and versatility. He actively seeks new challenges, whether through live gigs, collaborations or exploring unfamiliar genres. His openness to learning and ability to adapt quickly allow him to thrive in diverse musical environments.

As both a performer and educator, Cayden aims to inspire others through rhythm and creativity. With experience in teaching and sharing his knowledge, he values the impact music can have on individuals and communities. Looking ahead, he hopes to build a career as a professional drummer, performing internationally while continuing to grow artistically and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
