Amira Elisya Binte Amran
About
Amira is a graphic designer driven by curiosity, emotion and everyday observations.
As a designer, she aims to create work that not only looks compelling but also resonates, with designs that feel honest.
OBSR (Observant) is a campaign that normalises everyday pet peeves by reframing them as shared human experiences rather than isolated frustrations. It invites individuals to openly acknowledge small daily irritations while recognising these same habits in others.
By spotlighting these micro-annoyances, OBSR builds relatability and encourages empathy, transforming moments of tension into opportunities for connection.
Through a thoughtful and visually engaging approach, the campaign highlights how common discomforts can unite rather than divide. Ultimately, OBSR celebrates self-awareness and social understanding through the trivial frustrations of everyday life.
Amira and her partner were tasked to redesign posters and collaterals (seen below) for Baybeats, Singapore's biggest indie and alternative music festival running since 2002 and held annually at Esplanade—Theatres on the Bay.
As part of a school project, Amira was tasked with designing a trading card based on a chosen illustrator and designer.
She chose both Kiyoshi Awazu and Sulki & Min, whose styles are very different. Although this posed as a challenge at first, Amira was able to pin point the key features in both styles through research.
Kiyoshi Awazu's style is more realistic, yet fun and colourful, similar to Japanese traditional paintings, while Sulki & Min's style is more modern and simple, yet fun.
