Living in a foreign place can feel strange and uncomfortable, even when life appears to be normal. When everything feels unfamiliar, people find their own ways to cope.

Some hold onto objects while others escape into small moments, like games. Some people collect small objects; while they may not be useful, they offer familiarity which provides them with a sense of comfort and control. Others may turn to games such as the Nintendo Switch, which offers a small escape from reality—a quiet space to pause.
