PlayTrail is a child-led goal-setting play system designed for families with young children in Singapore’s education landscape. It responds to the pressure children face at home, where parental anxiety and the fear of falling behind can turn learning into a performance-driven experience.

Through PlayTrail, children build their own play path, set goals and complete balancing challenges at their own pace. This gives them ownership over their learning while encouraging confidence, resilience and problem-solving.

At the same time, PlayTrail helps parents better understand their child’s learning process. By observing how their child makes decisions, responds to challenges and manages setbacks, parents are encouraged to support rather than take over.

The project aims to shift learning at home from pressure and control towards play, reflection, and understanding.
