Sandoval Averyl Pantoja
About
Averyl was born in the town of San Nicolas in the Philippines before migrating to Singapore. Growing up in a traditional Filipino household, she was often expected to pursue a career in healthcare, such as nursing or medicine.
Despite these expectations, she discovered a strong passion for the arts and design from a young age. Inspired by her older cousin, who worked as an interior designer, Averyl found the confidence to pursue a similar path.
Today, Averyl is an interior designer who creates functional yet expressive spaces, constantly experimenting with ideas and styles to shape a distinctive creative identity. Her approach blends practicality with artistic exploration, allowing each project to reflect both purpose and personality. She is particularly interested in how environments influence human experience, and she continuously refines her design language through research, iteration and hands-on practice.
Alongside interior design, Averyl also explores graphic design, dabbling in tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. This cross-disciplinary practice allows her to stay current with evolving visual trends while expanding her creative skill set. By working across different design mediums, she strengthens her ability to communicate ideas clearly and develop cohesive visual narratives.
As she continues to grow as a designer, Averyl draws from her cultural background, personal experiences and evolving interests. She remains committed to pushing creative boundaries and developing meaningful, well-crafted spaces that resonate with the people who use them.
The Continuum is a community-driven space centred on environmental sustainability, where recycling and upcycling act as catalysts for social connection, responding to a lack of community engagement and shared spaces.
It reimagines waste as a resource, transforming discarded materials through collective participation. Inspired by living cells, the spatial design promotes openness, fluidity and interaction, encouraging movement, exchange and collaboration across diverse groups.
Guided by the motto 'For anyone, for everyone', the space breaks down social boundaries and fosters inclusivity, belonging and shared responsibility. Through everyday acts of reuse, learning and making, it nurtures stronger community bonds and a more sustainable way of living.
