Yalan is graduating from the Diploma in Fine Arts programme at LASALLE College of the Arts. Her practice spans painting, sculpture and wearable art, exploring self-identity and inner conflict through surrealist, psychoanalytic themes.
Yalan has built an international exhibition profile. She was selected as an Outstanding Recommended Artist for Expo 2025 Osaka and has exhibited at ART SHOPPING at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

This work explores the artist's personal struggle with perfectionism.
Like many, she once pursued flawless outcomes and even turned to tarot for guidance. Yet tarot does not offer definitive answers—its ambiguity reflects a deeper truth that nothing in life is absolutely perfect. Just as each card carries multiple meanings, existence itself is layered with complexity and contradiction. Perhaps this imperfection should be embraced rather than rather resisted.
The artist's creative process has become an acceptance of uncertainty, finding beauty not in polished results but in the authentic messiness of making.
