About
Dia is a graphic designer, illustrator, and design researcher exploring how design can become a medium for storytelling, discovery and engagement.
With a background in visual communication and design thinking, her practice moves between visual communication, illustration and experiential design.
Dia is interested in using design to ask questions, build connections and create experiences that go beyond simply delivering information.
Designing for Discovery, not Delivery
This research proposes a design-led, adaptable learning framework that shifts learners from passively receiving information toward actively constructing knowledge through interaction, discovery, conceptual relationships and reflection.
Grounded in constructivist, experiential, embodied, and inter-relational learning, the framework follows a cyclical Interact → Discover → Construct → Reflect model, where learners manipulate concepts, observe real-time consequences, develop relationships between ideas, and refine their understanding through reflection.
The framework is demonstrated through adaptable learning artefacts, with the current VR prototype exploring how immersive environments can make abstract relationships tangible and encourage curiosity, inquiry, and cognitive flexibility.
